Interior Designer

Full time, flexible hours.

This role is suited for interior designers who want meaningful ownership over their projects and the outcomes they deliver. You will be involved in the full design and renovation journey, from initial consultation through to project completion, working closely with clients and our in-house carpentry and project teams. You will take responsibility for managing your own projects, timelines, and client relationships. This role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to grow based on performance and contribution rather than fixed structures. You will represent JSDA professionally in all client interactions and play an important role in shaping both the design outcome and the client experience. Key Responsibilities
* Conduct design consultations to understand client needs, lifestyle requirements, and budget * Develop design concepts, layouts, and space planning solutions * Prepare design proposals, mood boards, and presentation materials * Produce detailed quotations, contracts, and variation orders, ensuring cost clarity * Coordinate closely with project managers, carpenters, and subcontractors * Manage design timelines and support project execution * Handle multiple projects concurrently * Communicate clearly and professionally with clients throughout the project lifecycle * Work independently and manage your own time in a flexible, non-structured work environment
Qualifications
* Diploma or Degree in Interior Design or a related field * Experience in residential and/or commercial interior design (preferred but not mandatory) * Proficiency in design and presentation tools such as SketchUp or similar software * Comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel or Google Docs and Sheets
